Portraiture Workshop
 age 11 upwards

Portraiture workshops can be adapted to be used by most ages from 7 years upwards, this workshop is targeted towards 11 years and upwards.

Photography can be used during the initial stages, showing another form of portrait, and could be used instead of, or as well as, a mirror.

Materials required
 
- mirror
- soft pastels
- A4 paper

- gloves and goggles

- wire

- wire cutters

- sticky tape

- clay (air hardening)

- modelling tool

 How is the face composed?

 How close together are the eyes, how far from the corner of the eyes are the ears set, how long is the nose, what is the distance between the end of the nose and the lips?

Look into the mirror and make some judgements.
